Both applications refer to the same thing but both are required as the gates are situated within the conservation area. It was raised that there have been some adverse comments, particularly relating to the new stone blocks. In response it was raised that in restoration work the replacement stones are fitted as they would have been originally, not to match the current stones. The Clerk was asked to obtain this explanation in writing from English Heritage.
